Discover team handball, an Olympic sport played in 159 countries by 20 million people worldwide and rated third among all
sports in television viewers during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. It combines elements of basketball, hockey
and soccer.

Handball is an action-packed game, composed of two teams, six players and one goalie each, facing off on a court
significantly larger than that of basketball. Successful scoring attempts result in a single point. Defensive play is primarily
man-to-man with unlimited “fouls”. A regulation game is played in two 30-minute halves. Final scores are often in the
30’s.
